Back in the Heart of Texas

This is the last of the pictures from our visit to the Lone Star State.

Jack sure did a lot of random stuff & had a blast.   I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

This is a Jack meltdown...

He also got to spend some time with his Great Grandma Palmer the day we headed to the ranch (but sadly no pics).

Here birdie, birdie...The Rockin' M

Tyler had seven days away from the hospital and I left it in his hands as to what he wanted to do.

Not very suprisingly he chose to go to two of his favorite places...the ranch & the lakehouse.

My dad, Tyler, & I headed up to Vernon on Monday for a dove hunt that evening.

There were sunflowers in the field like I've never seen before.  I had fun playing with my camera and taking lots of pictures.

My mom drove Jack to Wichita Falls the next morning & we had lunch before the boys headed back out.
Wichita Falls is moving up in the world and has an El Fenix & a Dickey's now.  Tyler got BBQ & Mexican marked off the Texas food list.
Jack blended in with his camo bib.
We had a fun day with Nina & did a little shopping, relaxed at the cottage, & played at the park.

16 months at the lake

Jack and I flew to Dallas last Wednesday and have been having lots of fun.  We have visited with all the grandparents & great grandparents, taken a trip to the ranch for a dove hunt, and spent Jack's 16 month bday at the lake.

We have lots of fun pictures coming soon...

For now, here's a little bit of what Jack did today...he's currently sleeping very soundly.  Having a walking toddler at the lakehouse wears everyone out a little bit more!

He's growing up so fast!  I love him more and more each day.

A visit from grandmother

My mom said she'd be on a plane when Jack started walking and as soon as he did we were planning her trip.  She flew in on a Sunday and back to Dallas on Tuesday.
We did some shopping for fall clothes for Jack, had fun in downtown Franklin, & even took a quick trip to the zoo. We also finally got Jack's foot measured and picked up some good tennis shoes from Stride Rite....for the record he wears a 4.5W.  I've been putting him in his cute Tom's & Sperry's but had no idea if they were the right size!
I also got a treat because she babysat while I went to the store one day & to get my hair done another during naptime...woohoo (it's the small things in life now-a-days).
Grandmother brought Jack a new Baby Einstein video and he was mesmerized.

My mom gifted our family with a year membership to the zoo so that Jack and I can go whenever we'd like.  It's very close to our house so I see us being there lots when it gets a bit cooler.
Last time we went to the zoo, Jack & I just watched the carousel.  This time we tried riding it and as expected it went ok. He would enjoy looking at all the lights and everything moving around him until he saw my mom & then would get upset.

He wasn't too sure about the goats.
