Happy Friday with Snow!

Happy Friday!
There has been a lack of blogging lately, but I promise to be back soon.
(Warning: Jack picture overload in this post)

We woke up on this beautiful Friday to a snow filled yard.  It's pretty much the perfect situation because the streets are good and Tyler was able to get to work super early this morning safely, but it looks really pretty, too.

After breakfast, I bundled Jack up & we headed outside to explore.

Jack hates to wear hats, but we are often able to pull a hood on his head and he will stand it.  We are still working on mittens, though.  The kid likes to be in control of his hands and mittens make him upset.  What also made him upset this morning is when he touched the snow on the deck stairs & his hands got super cold.  He was done with the snow...

I also had fun capturing the joy that is bath time for Jack last night.  He loves it.

Trains, planes, & automobiles

Jack has turned into such a boy and loves trains & cars.  He got a very small train set & lots of new cars for Christmas & he has had so much fun carrying them around & "vrooming" all over the place.

While we were in Texas we took a few fun field trips.

The first was the trains at Northpark.  This was Jack's first year to see them & he LOVED them.  He just stared & pointed & often tried to grab the trains as they went by.

After the trains we did a little bit of shopping & as we left Nordstrom's the Scrooge was out!  Even though we lived in Tennessee growing up, my childhood memories always include all the holiday stuff at Northpark particularly the Scrooge & the 12 days of Christmas.  Jack wasn't so sure about him, but I loved that he got to see it.

One day after Christmas we visited the Perot Museum of Nature & Science and it was packed!  We didn't walk the entire thing, but Jack had lots of fun in the Children's musuem on the bottom floor.  He organized & delivered produce, played in the water, & loved the "Dallas" playground.

Our Family Pics & Vote for Jack!

A few months after we had moved to Nashville & we had gotten settled in I decided it was time for some professional pictures of Jack & the family (we had not done any family pictures ever!).

Lucky for us we bought our house from an extremely talented photographer so I didn't have to look very far for someone to take them.  At this time, Jack hadn't started walking so he just wanted to crawl away when she was shooting him, but she did such a great job.  I hadn't shared too many of them because I wasn't sure if we were going to use them on Christmas cards.

Here are a some of my favorites:

Meet the Babies

We are back from Texas and back to reality.

We had such a great holiday with family & were lucky enough to get to see lots of friends, too.

Tyler went back to work on the 28th but Jack and I stayed through the 2nd and did lots of resting & relaxation after we both came down with the holiday cold, cough, & congestion (Jack's 2 for 2 on getting sick during Christmas).

We have lots of great pictures from the holidays that will be coming in the next week and I will get caught up on my lack of blogging during the last month!

Before the sickness set in, Jack and I loved getting to see some of my best college girl friends and all the new babies added to the family (and a baby still in the belly).  I couldn't believe we were able to time it where we were all available and in town during the craziness of the holidays.  Thank you so much Ashley for hosting & cooking brunch!

Mr. Ryder Neff made an appearance all the way from Colorado.

Jack wasn't sure what baby Caroline & Ryder were doing under that thing.
The best I could do getting all four kiddos in the picture without Jack crying.

Why is the toddler crying?!

Jack was pretty grumpy that day with all the new faces & in a new house, but he cheered up enough to give Holly a good high five on the way out.

Love all you girls and it was so great catching up and meeting all the adorable new additions!
