I was preggo at the same time as a bunch of friends that were due in August, September, & October. Literally all of them were pregnant with GIRLS. I kept waiting for a phone call that one was a boy, but it didn't happen. I told Jack he was going to have lots of girlfriends and he got to meet one of those girlfriends last weekend! My best friend Ellen had Miss Katherine (Kate) Elizabeth Conner on September 29 and Jack and I took a quick roadtrip to meet her and watch the Longhorn game!
As Ellen said, they can be just like Jack and Kate from Titanic...without the tragic ending. I loved meeting Kate and holding a newborn again. You forget just how small they are. She is so sweet and adorable and I cannot wait to watch her grow over the years.
We like to joke that we can use this picture of the first time they met in their rehearsal dinner slide show.
Ellen looks so great and it has been so much fun going through being pregnant and having babies together. Jack and Kate seem so different at this stage being 4 months apart, but I'm going to love when they get older and can play together and will be so close in age.
While we were in Houston, Jack also got to meet Tyler and I's good friend, Brandon. He got married in Washington DC at the beginning of October and we had to miss it. I've known Brandon since I moved back to Texas in 8th grade and I never thought I'd miss see him get married! We were so sad we weren't able to be there so it was great to catch up with him. Brandon and his new wife Kaitlin just moved into a townhouse 2 doors down from Ellen's, so it was very convinient. Jack and I missed seeing Kaitlin who was away for the weekend.
Brandon was so great with Jack and spoiled him and Kate with Longhorn gear...and he's a Sooner!
We had a great time on our roadtrip to Houston and I see many more trips in our future!
