Jack's 1st Birthday Party - The Details

When Jack was born I knew that the time around his first birthday would be crazy.
Between Tyler's graduation, house hunting, moving, & working full time I don't have much time to party plan and craft, but as the party approached I found myself wanting to put a little bit more effort into some decorating than I had originally planned.

I had lots of fun creating some personalized details & decorations and relied heavily on Etsy for the invitation design, party printables, and a few other things.

Check out the party pics here.

The invitations turned out great thanks to my chubby cowboy...
Jack doesn't like wearing things on his head and this cowboy hat was no exception.
I had to take many, many photos to get this one but my tubby little boy looks so cute!

We hope to use this sign for many birthdays to come!
My mom and I found this Texas shaped basket at a church garage sale for $1
and it was perfect for the favors after a layer of white spray paint.

We had guests sign this photo book of all Jack's monthly pics.
Perfect keepsake for years down the road!

I know I'm going to love looking back at all of Jack's monthly pictures and posts that I've done, but they are time consuming and tiring to do.
Being able to put them all together at his 1st birthday made it totally worth it, though.

Loved that we got to use his "Wanted" poster from The Pineapple School.

Jack was not a fan of his birthday hat but I tried!

Not a Texas party without Blue Bell ice cream!
For the desert table, Tyler's cousin's wife made Jack's smash cake, topper, & cupcakes...
she did such a good job!
We also had Janie make her famous "bars" and
Taylor put together some cowboy s'more pops.

Drink Station - Dr. Pepper bottles, lemonade, & water
My pinterest project for the party were the white chandelier balls hanging from the ceiling.

All of Jack's first holidays!

For food we did good old Texas BBQ.
Sliders with Dickey's chopped beef & Grandy's rolls, pasta salad, bbq beans, chips, & fruit.
Texas sugar cookies for favors.

I had lots of people help me!  Thanks to my mom & dad for opening up their house and helping me with everything.  Also, thank you to Taylor, Janie, & Jessica for all their help & delicious food.
The day was such a success and celebration of our 1 year old Jack!
