The last couple of weeks have been full of stomach bugs, ear infections, coughs, sneezes, and doctor visits for all three of us!
But it's also been filled with Jack moving more than ever and he's officially crawling!
He had his first real crawl day (going forwards..not backwards) last week and all he wants to do is stand...he pulls up on the coffee table, the bed, the couch, and if he's awake while he's in his crib, he's standing. He took a little bit longer to start all this compared to a lot of babies his age, but I enjoyed the extra time not having to worry about him so much and what he was getting into!
Each time I go into his room he greets me standing with a smile!
This morning I woke up at 6:20 and saw this in the monitor....
Here is a video from his first official day of crawling.
(after he had his bath because he threw up all over himself while in the highchair...oh, fun times)
Right now he doesn't have a traditional crawl. He pushes off with the bottom of his foot to push forwards and the other leg just stays tucked under him. He is perfecting it and is getting faster every day. It is unique, just like him and we love it! My parents have told me that I never crawled, but just scooted on my butt and got wherever I needed to be.
Needless to say the house is getting quickly baby proofed. Everything that is anywhere near the floor (magazines, guitars, boots, etc) is fair game and quickly being moved. Here we go!

Our family has an exciting couple of weeks coming up. The biggest event is Tyler's match day next Friday when we find out where he'll be doing his residency for at least the next 3 years. I'm nervous and excited and overwhelmed all at the same time. Things are about to get REAL crazy around here. I can't wait!
